The client is a fashion designer and interested in fashion technology. In order to connect the fashion designers around the world, he decided to develop an online fashion portal, with social networking features, through which designers may get connected to market their products.

Challenges

The client needs to build customized packages for Ruby & ROR application which are compatible to slackware OS. The client wants to develop the application with quick response time, without any lag time during processing although the application houses images & streaming videos. Amidst all the aforesaid features, server security should be upheld with utmost significance.

What We Did

After gathering the client’s requirement, our team with abundant server management expertise recommended the appropriate solutions to address the client’s business demands. We customized the OS according to the application’s requirement and the client’s need. We rebuilt the Kernel by modifying / removing the redundant modules / services and use shell scripting wherever required. We built the customized packages for Ruby & ROR application which are compatible with slackware OS. As the customized kernel carries only the required services, the time for booting, response and security are enhanced.
